1. Rinse lightly before cooking, soak for 30 min for softer texture.
2. Combine 1 cup rice and 1½ cups water or broth in a pot and bring to a boil.
3. Cover with a tight-fitting lid. Reduce heat to maintain a low simmer, and cook for 30–40 minutes, or until tender.
4. Remove from heat (keep covered) and let stand for 10 minutes. Give the rice a mix with the rice scooper and serve.
Rice cooker instruction: Combine 1 cup rice with 1.2 cups water or broth in the pot, and cook using the multigrain setting.
